How far will you decide to run on the day, it's entirely up to you in our 6hr timed event! One lap of 2.65mi will gain you legendary status and your well deserved, bespoke finishers medal and of course your goody bag! There will only be 100 entries available so don't leave it too late to enter! After the event, feel free to relax in the bar where refreshments will be available and then come and cheer the remaining runners home as they come through the start/finish area to finish their race or go round again!
The gently undulating, traffic-free course on the tracks and trails around Layer Marney Tower will give you the opportunity to run as many or as few laps as you wish within the time limit of 6 hours. The loops will be 2.65mi in distance and one is all you need to complete to be a finisher and get your well-deserved medal! If you wish to run further it is entirely up to you on the day, you will need to do 5 loops for a half marathon, 10 laps to cover full marathon distance, and then if you choose to continue, the clock will be your only limiting factor! Don't worry, you don't have to count your laps yourself, the event will be fully chip timed so you can just concentrate on the running!
With an aid station at the end of every lap, you will have the ability to fuel yourself without having to carry everything you might need. You may leave a bag with your specific requirements at the aid station, for you to raid as you see fit! Alternatively, there will be all sorts of goodies and also water and squash to keep you going, should you feel like a change!
PLEASE NOTE – Due to our Covid-19 controls, the race will no longer be a cupless event - all drinks will be provided in plastic disposable cups or small cans (we are still recycling though to try and minimise the environmental impact of this!).
