Next Race: 09/11/2025
Join us on the 9th of November 2025 for a truly memorable Remembrance Sunday event with a unique atmosphere. We will have an 11 am silence within the race itself and it would be great to have the entire field respecting this and taking a slight breather to remember those military personnel who have given their lives over the years in service to our great country. As we did in the previous 6 years, we will have the Last Post and Reveille played live before the event starts with 2mins silence between.
THE COURSE
The undulating, traffic-free, looped trail course, will give you the opportunity to run a trauil marathon or as many or few laps as you wish, within the time limit of 6 hours. The loops will be 10.54km/6.55m in distance and so you will need to complete 2 laps for a half marathon, 4 laps to cover full marathon distance, and then if you choose to continue, the clock will be your only limiting factor!
AID STATION
With an aid station at the end of every lap and at approx 5km, you will have the ability to fuel yourself without having to carry everything you might need. You may leave a bag with your specific requirements at the aid station, for you to raid as you see fit! Alternatively, there will be flapjacks, sweet things, fruit, and nuts, and also water and squash, should you feel like a change!
An opportunity to run on a fast, lapped course, without the need to carry your usual ‘clobber’ and with a sought after, unique, bespoke medal, this promises to be a fantastic event for runners of all abilities. UKA Affiliated Member & Race Permit issued by TRA and a 100 Club qualifying event.
RUN ROUTE
The race will start outside The Batemans Tower Café, Promenade Way, Brightlingsea, Essex. CO7 0HH.

TOILETS
Toilets are located near Bateman’s Café on the West Promenade, in the car park at the end of Promenade Way. These will be accessible, before, during, and after the race.
Please view our Terms and Conditions before registering for any event.
OTHER USERS AND LITTER
Please be mindful of other users of the promenade area and park responsibly. There will be no excuse for littering given the ability to dispose of any unwanted rubbish at the end of every lap in the bins provided. We would like to continue to return to this venue regularly and constant littering might make this difficult.
Brightlingsea is a small historical sailing town with much to offer the day visitor or as a base to explore the surrounding towns and countryside. http://www.brightlingsea-town.co.uk
Today Brightlingsea is a thriving town with many interesting old buildings set amongst a town centre of friendly mainly independent shops. The narrow streets lead down to the Town Hard where you can spend some leisurely time to watch the comings and goings, see families enjoying crabbing from the town jetty or disembarking from the ferry or visiting yachts.
From the Town Hard, you can take a leisurely stroll along the promenade lined with colorful beach huts, past the open-air swimming pool to Batemans Tower where you will find a café, children’s playground, skateboard park and the start of your next challenge!
